Cecilia McDowell
Cecilia M. McDowell, 86, of Colonial Beach died Monday, May 23, 2005, at Mary Washington Health Center, Colonial Beach.
Born in Accadia, La., she had retired as a commercial artist in Louisiana and was a member of St. Elizabeths Catholic Church in Colonial Beach, Colonial Beach Art Guild and the Carmelite Order. She was the widow of Hervaughn L. McDowell.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Vaughn P. and Dawn McDowell of King George County.
A funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, with burial in Carmel of Port Tobacco, La Plata, Md. Visitation will be held from noon until the start of the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Carmel of Port Tobacco, Attention: Mother Virginia Marie, 5678 Mount Carmel Road, LaPlata, Md. 206463625; or to St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, Box 275, Colonial Beach, Va. 22443.
