Middlebrook Ella Virginia

Ella Middlebrook, beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2018, while being cared for at Culpeper Health and Rehab Center. Ella was born on August 25, 1937 to Charles and Alton Habron. She is survived by her loving husband, Carlton Gordon Middlebrook Sr. and only son, Carlton Jr.; his two children, grandson Robert Torrie; sisters Shirley (Edward) Taylor, Gladys Cooper and Darlene Myers. Ella was preceded in death by her daughter, Terrie Lynn Torrie. Petite in statue, Ella had a big heart dedicating her life to caring for others, first as a stay-at-home "mom" and later as a care provider to the disabled and elderly in the Dahlgren area. For a number of years Ella taught and sold ceramics from the basement of her home, where she had many molds and two kilns. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she attended with her family. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Storke Funeral Home, 11089 James Madison Pkwy., King George with a visitation one-hour prior. Reverend Randy Allensworth will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.storkefuneralhome.com.
