Kay H. Virginia, 83 of Rushville, IL passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Rushville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rushville, IL. Kay was born August 5, 1942, in Rushville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Alfred Holtman and Elizabeth Maxine Stremmel Holtman. Surviving are (3) daughters; Cindy Sloan (Rick) of Wiggins, MS, Sherri Phillips of Wiggins, MS and Terri Kerr (Tom) of Rushville, IL;(3) sons, Nick Culves of Indianapolis, IN, Ron Culves of Beardstown, IL, and Jay Pierceall of Springfield, IL; (8) grandchildren, Brock Simmert, Tiffany Maxwell (Andy), Madilyn Phillips, Reese Sloan (Leah), Case Sloan (Riann) Andy Kerr (Amy) and Angy Hardy (Brian); (8) great grandchildren, Eliana and Caden Simmert, Margaret and Evelyn Maxwell, Phillips Sloan, Alexis Hardy, Dilynn Eifert and Paxton Kerr; (1) niece, Regina Holtman and (1) nephew Terry Holtman Jr. She was preceded by (1) brother, Terrance Holtman and her significant other, Guy Pierceall. Kay graduated from Lincoln Land College with an Associate degree in 1993 and then attended University of Illinois graduating in 1999 with her receiving her BA in Legal Studies at the age of 57. She worked in the State of Illinois Comptroller office in the accounting department. Kay enjoyed quilting and painting, especially teaching the grandkids to sew and paint. She was a very talented seamstress and artist. She enjoyed adventure including sky diving, travel and the time spent with the love of her life, Guy. Her most cherished moments were time spent with her family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Wise officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Culbertson Memorial Hospital Foundation or Wounded Warriors Project.
