Sharon Kay Morrell

Sharon Kay Morrell, 78 of Augusta, IL passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden, IL. Sharon was born March 28, 1947, in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Clifton and Fern Friday Lambert. She married the late Norman Lyle Morrell on July 10, 1983, in Vero Beach Florida. She is survived by (2) sons; Michael Fitzjarrrald (Rebecca) of Rushville, IL and Shawn Fitzjarrald (Tonya) of Camden, IL; (2) grandsons, Jake Fitzjarrald and Kyle Fitzjarrald; (1) granddaughter, Kimberly Fitzjarrald; (2) sisters Dianna Lambert of Augusta, IL and Donna Steinhour of Burlington, IA; (4) nieces, Melissa Patterson (Richard) of Tennessee, IL, Debbie Ellis (Dave) of Plymouth, IL, Candace Curtis of Augusta, IL and Chancesity Steinhour Kirchner (Todd) of Muscatine, IA;(2) nephews, Chris Simmons of Macomb, IL and Preston Steinhour of Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by (2) grandsons, Austin Fitzjarrald and Dylan Fitzjarrald and (1) brother, Donald Ray Lambert. Sharon graduated from Augusta High School in 1965. She lived in Vero Beach FL for many years returning to Illinois in 2002. She worked at Hancock County Shelter Home in Augusta, IL until they closed. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Augusta. Her favorite things were flowers, sewing, crossword puzzles and her Bird "Superman." Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Augusta Assembly of God Church.
