Carol J. Morrell

Carol J. Morrell, 87, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Watertown, Massachusetts, the city where she was born and spent her life surrounded by family and friends.
Born on March 19, 1938, in Watertown, Carol was the daughter of Ernest and Mary Morrell. She received her early education at Sacred Heart School of Watertown and later graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge. Her roots in the community ran deep, and she remained a cherished presence in the lives of those around her throughout her life.
Carol was a beloved sister to Paulette Farry and her husband Jack. She was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Garland, husband Bob, Marilyn Hurley, husband Pat, brothers Ronald, Paul, Warren and infant boy. Among those who held a special place in Carol's heart was her sister-in-law and closest friend Josephine Morrell. Carol also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.
A woman of strong faith, Carol found great joy in attending St. Brigid Parish for over thirty years. Her devotion to her church community was a meaningful part of her life and brought her comfort and connection.
Carol had a vibrant social spirit. She enjoyed international travel that broadened her horizons and enriched her experiences. For many years, she participated in a bowling league. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her nieces and nephews and delighted in socializing with the many friends who were drawn to her warmth and generosity.

Funeral from the DeVito Funeral Home, 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN on Tuesday at 9 am followed by her funeral mass at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
