Charles (Chuck) E Chase, 85, of Harwich, MA, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025. Chuck was born on July 23, 1940 in Revere, MA, to Agnes and William Chase. He attended Matignon High School where he played football and baseball. After high school he attended St. John's Seminary for six years; he received a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. He spent his career practicing law in Massachusetts including working for the MA Attorney General where he proudly presented a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Chuck loved playing hockey and watching the Boston Bruins. He also loved playing tennis, reading about World War II, watching Jeopardy, solving Sudoku puzzles, and an extra dry martini. He will always be remembered for his crazy sense of humor, and holding court on his deck where he quizzed anyone present on the world and state capitals.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret (Mone) Chase; his children Katie (Lee) Tedesco and Mark (Emmy) Chase; his three grandsons, Jameson Tedesco, Benjamin and Patrick Garr Chase; his brother, William, and sister, Geraldine. He was preceded in death by his brother, Francis, and sister, Rosemary.

Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 678 Main St., Harwich, MA. Interment will be private.

You never knew what would come out of his mouth which made him the most wonderful man to be around. Chuck loved his family and friends and was loved by so many. He will be missed immensely and his stories will live on forever…indeed.
