Patricia Moore

1930 - 2025

Patricia Campbell Moore was a woman of many talents. She could sing, dance, act, and she never ran out of inappropriate jokes to tell. From her time as a front-runner of The Vernon Girls on the BBC in Liverpool, England (her beautiful birthplace), to her final years enjoying watching classic movies on TCM, her love of the stage and cinema never waned.

She cherished her career at Quantico's Harry Lee Hall and the University of Mary Washington and adored her colleagues and students there to her core. Convincing her to retire at the seasoned age of [age omitted per her request, as a lady never tells] was a feat of its own.

She and her late husband, Jerry Moore, called St. Mary's Catholic Church their home. The two of them were beyond what one might call "dog enthusiasts." Their Irish Wolfhounds were their world. Patricia and Jerry loved their family and their pets very much, but they loved each other in a way that was simply beautiful. Their reunion in heaven will be one for the ages.

Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Vivian Wood, Dianne Wood, and her daughter-in-law Anita Kirkland, along with their many children and grandchildren. She will be welcomed in heaven by not only her husband, Jerry, but also her son, Michael James Wood, her siblings, Jimmy, Rita, Maureen, and Frank, and many other loved ones. She will be greatly missed here, but her family knows they'll reunite with her one day too. May the light of heaven shine upon her.
