Robert Willis Obituary

Retired USMC Master Sgt. Robert Cellus Willis, 70, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Willis had retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and from Prince William County. He was a member of the Magdalenes, the Legion of Mary and the Fredericksburg Lung and Heart Support Group. He served as sacristan and usher at Holy Cross Academy.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ines Willis of Fredericksburg; three sons, Joseph, Richard and William Willis; one daughter, Angela Willis; two grandchildren, Aiden Willis and Caylie Bates; one brother, William Thomas Smith; and one sister, Erlene Phillips.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 30, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with a rosary to begin at 6 p.m.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary Building Fund, 1009 Stafford Ave., Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
