John Noerr Obituary
John Milton , of San Rafael, CA, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Greenbrae, California. He was born on March 8, 1937 in Stubenville, OH as the only child to Robert and Anna Noerr. After growing up in Punxsutawney, PA, the family moved to East Detroit, MI where John attended the East Detroit High School and the University of Michigan where he received a degree in Chemical Engineering. John was a member of the Triangle Engineering Fraternity while attending the University Of Michigan. John never used his degree in Chemical Engineering and instead was initially employed by Sinclair Oil to work in their computer department. Never one to miss an opportunity, John used that experience to have a lifelong career as a business owner who founded startup companies in the tech world which took him from the east coast to the west coast of the United States with stops in Harvey, Illinois; Houston, Texas; Palisades Park, New Jersey; Peekskill, New York; Wyckoff, New Jersey; Newport Beach, California; New York City and finally Northern California to name a few. He was a long time member of the San Rafael Harbor Rotary and a Commissioner for the Southern Marin Fire Protection Board. John was an avid golfer and loved to go to the casino. With a zest for life and a sharp wit, John was quick to laugh and share fun moments with all. Above all, John was a generous soul and loved his family.
John was survived by his loving wife Gigi; dear father of the late Robert P. Noerr, Sally Noerr-Rogers (David), Jeffrey Noerr (Heather), Andrew Noerr and Peter Noerr; cherished grandfather of Alexander.
A Rosary Service will be held on Friday November 10, 2017 at 7:00 pm at St Hilary's Catholic Church, 761 Hilary Dr, Belvedere, CA. A Celebration Mass will be held on Saturday November 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at St Hilary's Catholic Church, 761 Hilary Dr, Belvedere, CA. Visitation at the church begins Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment/Burial at White Chapel Cemetery, 621 West Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI.

Thousands of men go through this life without being counted, and some men count for one thousand men. John's contribution in his life time will be remembered for ever, John made a difference in Live's of many of the youth in the world and especially in the Live's of the children of Lebanon.
Rest in peace my good friend John. I learned a lot from you.

I only recently became aware of Johns passing. I worked with John many years ago at Sinclair Oil and Lambda. Although I have not seen John in many years I have always considered him a friend. I have read the many nice things written about him and will concur with all of them. My condolences to his family.

I am sorry to have missed John's memorial service and I am sorry for your loss, Gigi.

I will never forget his great sense of humor and generosity that reached across Continents and Oceans to the mountains of Lebanon the town of Sharoun Middle School where John helped build a school library.
I and the children of Lebanon will always remember John's generosity and will remember him as a peace maker.
Gigi, I am sorry for your loss, on my behalf and on behalf of the children of Lebanon please accept our sincere condolences, may god bless his sole.
