Joseph Rizzo Obituary
- - Joe was called home to the Lord March 30, 2021. He was 92. Born to Crispino and Vincenza (Spada) Rizzo, he attended Southeastern High School and earned his Electrical Engineering degree from U of D. He married Elizabeth (Betty) McCabe and recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They lived in Troy over 40 years. Joe retired in 1991 from Jervis B. Webb Co. He is survived by his wife, Betty, and children: Ann (the late Dan) English, Chris Rizzo, Gary (Jane) Rizzo, Phil Rizzo, Judy (Michael) Rooney, Pat (Jeffrey) Criswell, John (Jill) Rizzo, Margaret (Robert) Cendrowski, Mary Merlo. Grandfather to Katie (Jorge) Martinez, J.D. (Kim) English, Nick (Sarah) Rooney, Ed Rooney, Elise Rooney, Tori Criswell, Matt Criswell, Jonathan Rizzo, Jenna Cendrowski, Kara Cendrowski, A.J. Kaiser, Abbey Kaiser. Great Grandfather to Leo, Emilio, Aurora, Eleanor. Joe enjoyed ping pong, travelling, and skiing. He was an avid golfer playing until Fall 2020. He was quiet, humble, faithful to God and his Church. We will miss him dearly and are thankful for the many shared years and blessings. View obituary and sign tribute wall at AJDesmond.com.
