Thomas Gorman Obituary
Thomas K. Gorman, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kari, his children, Kathleen Gorman, Laurie Moran, Kevin Gorman (Chelsea Carbary), Margaret Gorman (Grant Gillick), Anne Gorman and grandson John Moran. He was born in Detroit to Robert and Crystal Gorman. He played football at Riverview High School and earned an athletic scholarship to Olivet College. He served Farmington Public Schools for 44 years as a teacher, guidance counselor, coach and friend. He is warmly remembered by his family, friends and colleagues. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heart to Heart Hospice. Services will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church located at 21575 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075 on Saturday, February 8 with visitation beginning at 10 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 AM.

Tom and Kari were neighbors and friends, and our sons are very close friends since elementary school. It is hard to imagine a more kind and thoughtful family man than Tom, a tremendous loss. Our hearts go out to the family. Scott and Marcy Klevorn

Tom was a football team mate and a fraternity brother at Olivet College. Tom was one of the good guys! My condolences to his family.

I had Mr. Gorman for Latin at OLS. I loved him! He was a great teacher and very easy to relate to. This world will be missing a fine man. My condolences to the family. At least he is with God.

Both of us had the pleasure of working with Tom for many years at East Junior High and Warner Middle School. Our recollections include Tom's antics, robust laugh, and his compassion for students. Tom was always cheerful and loving and will be missed by so many. We are grateful to have known him. His legacy will live on through his wonderful son, Kevin (our son-in-law) and the rest of his family. Our condolences to all as you make your way through this difficult time of mourning.
