Arnita A. Wolf, age 79, of Hooper died Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at Methodist Fremont Health.
Arnita was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Fremont to Arthur and Ila (Young) Kerns. As a young child the family moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, before returning to Fremont. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1960. She then attended Bahner's Beauty School. She worked for Adonis Beauty Salon, then for The Beauty Studio. For 20 years she worked at the Hooper Care Center, first as a beautician and then as an assistant in the Life Enrichment department.
Arnita was married by Rev. Levenhagen to Raymond Wolf at Trinity Lutheran in Fremont on April 1, 1972, and to this union a daughter, Angela, and son, Aaron, were born. The family lived on Raymond's family farm near Hooper.
Arnita was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow and currently was a member of Trinity in Fremont. She loved going to her grandchildren's sports and music activities. She would go to dances and listen to the music. Lately her favorite activity was the Bible study she attended on Tuesday mornings at Trinity. Arnita also loved baking and cooking for family and friends.
Arnita is survived by her daughter, Angela (Albert) Hammang of Arlington; son, Aaron (RaLyne) Wolf of Scribner; grandchildren, Evan and Luke Hammang of Arlington, Allison and Zane Wolf of Scribner. She is also survived by a sister, Norma Payzant of Fremont; sister-in-law, Shirley Fischer of Northville, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Arnita was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; sister, Barbara Shannon; sister-in-law, Elaine Wolf; brothers-in-law, Bob Shannon, Ronald Payzant and Clarence Fischer; and niece, Diane Shannon.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Anthony Gerber will officiate. The service will be livestreamed at https://trinityfremont.com/live/. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery east of Winslow. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Immanuel Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
