HOOPER – George Carl Wagner, 88, of Hooper died June 12, 2017, in Fremont with family members at his side.
George is survived by his wife of almost 33 years, Allene Wagner of Hooper; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Deb Wagner of Eagle; son, Jobie Wagner of Black Hills, S.D.; daughter, Sally Benson of Scribner; stepdaughters, Pamela Grimes of Hooper, Janet Berry of Maydelle, Texas, and Kay Mason of Alto, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
George was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
George was always thinking of others during his life and because of this he decided to donate his body to Creighton University Medicine, so that others may benefit from the studies of his illness.
A memorial service date will be announced at a later time.
Allene and family would like to give thanks to all the ICU and Hospice staff at Fremont Health Center for their care and concern for George and his family during this time.
