Joel T. Richert
FREMONT - Joel T. Richert, 64 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at his home.
Joel was born on December 29,1959 to Wallace and Agnes (Wiles) Richert in Lincoln, NE. He graduated in 1977 from Murdock High School and continued his education at Peru State College in Peru, NE. Joel worked at UNMC as an Xray Technician until he retired.
Over the years, Joel enjoyed camping along the river sandbars, watching old movies, attending hard rock concerts, reading science fiction, and attending bible studies. He especially loved his nieces and nephews and buying gifts for them.
He was preceded by his parents and sister, Jacquelyn Gaebel.
He is survived by his brother, Jim (Jan) Richert; brother-in-law, Terry Gaebel; 5 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Elmwood-Murdock Education Foundation Scholarship Fund.
