Lois M. Wolsleger, 95, of Fremont died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Good Samaritan Center in Scribner.
She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in rural Scribner to Ernest Eberhard and Selma (Hinrichsen) Eberhard Christensen. Lois grew up in the Scribner and North Bend areas. She was a 1932 graduate of Snyder High School. Lois Eberhard married Emil Kienbaum on Dec. 29, 1932, in Snyder. He died Dec. 3, 1943. Lois married John Bentz on April 24, 1945. The couple operated Johnnie's Cafe in Snyder from 1960 to 1976. John died Feb. 17, 1977. Lois moved to Garden Grove, Calif., in 1977 and did volunteer work for Lutheran Social Services for 20 years. Lois married Conrad Wolsleger on Jan. 14, 1978, in Las Vegas. He died Feb. 10, 2000. Lois then moved to Fremont.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Snyder.
Survivors include: a son, Nile Kienbaum of Scribner; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nola and Virgil Schulenberg of Eugene, Ore., Nita and Roger Holmes of Omaha and Roxanne and Larry Mead of Kansas City, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Volline VonSeggern of Omaha and Valetta Klahn of Scribner; brother-in-law, Ivan Taege of Fremont; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Neil Kienbaum; sisters, Ethel Sawyer and Helen Taege; brothers, Frank and Jack Eberhard; daughter-in-law, Nancy Kiebaum; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Snyder with the Rev. Gerry Weaver officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Snyder.
Memorials have been established to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan Center in Scribner and Concordia High School in Omaha.
