CARMELITA RODRIGUEZ Obituary

Carmelita was born in Fresno on September 29, 1930, and passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014, in Yountville Veteran's Hospital where she was a patient for 27 years. She graduated from Edison High School in 1947. Carmelita joined the United States Navy in 1950. A special thank you to Rose Marie Wilson, her guardian; and to Yountville Veteran's Hospital for their excellent care. She was preceded in death by her son, Albert Larry Prokop; parents, Jesus and Carmen Rodriguez; her adopted parents, Antonio and Demetrea Felix; her brother, Mike Rodriguez; and sister, Sally R. Cardenas. She is survived by her brother, Tommy Rodriguez and his wife Dolores; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to VFW Post 8900, 3585 N.
