CHARLES JON MAROOT

Charles Jon Maroot, born in Fresno, CA on October 13, 1938, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2015, surrounded by his family. Jon Jon was a dreamer. He spent his life pressing on and always took the road less traveled. He was a generous man who gave all he could to those around him. We have no doubt that Jon Jon is already making big plans and stepping up to the grand buffet. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Prudence Maroot; and son Matthew. He is survived by his wife Judi; son, Jon Philip; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Stan Diebert; in-laws, Sammy and Paula Ganimian, Rosemary Ganimian, and Kristen Maroot-Rippee; and sister, Constance Horasanian. Jon loved and was proud of all of his grandchildren, Charlie and Ryden Maroot, Sydney Maroot, and Rocky and Max Diebert. As per Jon's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to either Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Fresno; or www.stupidcancer.org/give, a charity that addresses young adult cancer, in honor of his son Matthew.
