Cora Sanchez Obituary

On Monday, April 21, 2008, Cora Sanchez was called Home to be eternally beside our Lord. The transition to Heaven will be an easy one for Cora for she was truly an angel here on earth. A kinder more caring soul never existed. We should all take heed to the lesson which Cora exemplified everyday: To live our lives with uncon-ditional love and dignity. Cora's memory will live on forever through the hearts of her family and for generations yet to come. Rest in Peace, Nana. Cora leaves behind a legacy of love through her family who survives her: her daughter, Sylvia Clark of Selma; her son, Mark Anthony Sanchez of Sel-ma; brother, Henry Meza; sisters, Vicki Perez and Beatrice Therman; grand-children, Camille Acosta and Marie Antoinette Ville-gas-Clark; her great-grand-children, Myckel Rocha and Arthur Hays; and her great-great grandchild, Chase Hays. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Selma on Monday, April 28, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Selma on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 9:00 a.m., followed by interment at Floral Memorial Park in Selma. Cora was truly was an Angel. She had a heart for all she met and always opened her home to help others. I can remember seeing a table full of men that she would feed and never ask anything in return. When my father was alive we had many meals together and to see the two of them in the kitchen together will always be memories I treasurer in my heart. We can all learn for her kindness and love. She never met a stranger and was always available to help others. I’m sure as she entered Heaven the line was long to welcome her and thank her for all she has done for others. She will be missed but her wonderful smile and the memories she leaves behind will be in our hearts always. My sympathy to Sylvia and Anthony and the entire family. Find peace in knowing she is with our Lord and the many family and friends that went before her.
With Love, Dee Dee Kayajanian (“Del’s" daughter)
