Craig Tucker Obituary

CRAIG DONALD TUCKER

Craig was born on November 3, 1946, in Chehalis, WA to Donald and Rosemary Tucker. He passed away on June 13, 2003, as a result of an automobile accident, and went home to be with the Lord. Craig lived a very full life and touched many lives along the way. After high school, he joined the U. S. Army where he served in Vietnam. He lived in several states where he worked as a cook, mechanic/gas station attendant, and car salesman. Craig loved to talk and be around people and he took the automobile industry by storm. In the mid 1970's, he started working as a salesman at Bingham Toyota in Clovis, CA. Through his determination, visionary ideas, and enthusiastic spirit, he took Bingham Toyota from a small dealership with a handful of employees to one of the largest Toyota dealerships in CA. He was part owner and vice president when he retired in 1999. He also worked with many non-profit organizations such as the Marjorie Mason Center, the Fresno Rescue Mission, the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation, East Fresno Rotary and many others. Aside from his amazing career, Craig's real joy came from his family, friends, and motorcycles. He is survived by his parents Donald and Sharon Tucker of WA, and Rosemary and Robert Ettleman of OR; brothers, Brian Tucker of MA, Michael Ettleman and Todd Ettleman of CA; and sisters, Cheryl Martin and Cindy Tucker of OK. Craig is also survived by his wife of 32 years, Debby Tucker of Clovis; his five daughters and their families, daughter Deborah Farhat and her husband Aziz of Hollister, daughter Dee Dee Yarman and her husband Michael and their four children Jennifer, Christopher, Ashley and Mikayla of Palmdale, daughter Wendy Stewart of Clovis, daughter Janet Holley and her husband Ben of Fresno, and daughter Stephanie Tucker of Clovis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Tucker of WA. Craig's family was his pride and joy and he loved to brag and tell stories about them to anybody that would listen. Since the age of fourteen, Craig has been an avid motorcyclist. He loved to have the wind in his face, bugs in his teeth and to go as fast as he could. Craig thought of his friends and family. He loved his motorcycle buddies, his Friday lunch bunch, his friends from church and the many friends he made during his career. With his big heart, generous spirit and outgoing personality he left a lasting impression and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Craig's life will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Clovis on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at 10:00 am. A Graveside Service immediately following at Clovis Cemetery. Remembrances may be made in his memory to the Trinity Presbyterian Church Building Fund, or donor's favorite charity. BOICE FUNERAL HOME308 Pollasky, Clovis 299-4372

Dear Deby and Family,I had the honor of knowing Craig through Trinity and our Friday morning mens group as well as being a Harley rider. I was present at Craig's baptism and he was insistent that I also get baptized, which I did two weeks later and I had the pleasure of Craigs attendance. I will miss him very much but am at peace as to where he is now. Gods Blessings to you all.

I worked with Craig many years ago at Hallowell Chevrolet. We were all a young group, and I have the best memories of this crazy, funny guy who made us all laugh on a daily basis. He always made me smile.

May the hearts of your family be consoled with the same great blessings.

Craig gave me a job many years ago and helped me through a tough time in my life. Craig never judged, always had a smile and a positive thing to say. He will be missed.

Debby,

Jack and I were saddened when we heard the news of Craig's sudden passing.

We have fond memories of the days when Jack & Craig were together at Bingham, battling it out over who was going to be #1 in sales for the month. They were crazy days! We also always enjoyed the family get-togethers and nights on the town.

We pray that God will provide you and your family with the "peace that passes all understanding" and give you His strength for the coming days.

Love, Jack and Ellen

I'm so sorry to read of your loss. Craig was a good friend to my father, Bill Thompson, who passed away over 3 years ago. I'm sure they will continue their friendship again in heaven.

Craig was also very helpful to me many years ago when my father brought me to talk to Craig about buying a new car. Craig was friendly, courteous, and highly professional. He will be missed by many.

CRAIG TUCKER WAS MY GOOD FRIEND. I AM THANKFUL THAT HE AND I HAD GOOD TIMES (AND BAD TIMES) TOGETHER. AS CRAIG WOULD SAY, "I LOVE YOU LIKE A BROTHER, MAN". SEE BUDDY.

My Daughter, Jennifer Olsen Carlson and Janet grew up in Clovis . When they were 4th or 5th grade, Craig decided he was going to surprise the girls with a trip to the Cyndi Lauper Concert! They had an unforgetable night when Craig picked the girls up in a Limo and took them to see Cyndi Lauper and he even managed to get back stages passes so the girls could meet Cyndi and had pictures taken with her and the crew. He made it an unforgetable night for those two girls.

My daughter, Jen loved to tell of Craig getting in the boat at Debbi and Craig's home and singing in the boat and falling out into the water. He was a great father and friend. We will miss you Craig and the smile and happiness you brought to our lives. God Bless you and your family in this difficult time.

Love yo all of you,

Janyce Naegle
