Daniel Vernon Hyde

Bradbury, California - Daniel Vernon Hyde was born on May 15, 1947 in Fresno, California. He died on July 3, 2024 in Bradbury, California.

He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon and Peggy Hyde, as well as his brother Steven Henry Hyde. He is survived by his wife, Grace; his daughter, Lauren Frances Hyde; his son, Patrick Hazeltine Hyde; and his brother, Jeffrey Harnish Hyde and wife Kirsten.

Mr. Hyde graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California having been involved in the theater arts and speech programs. He then went on to graduate from the University of Oregon as an English major. He attended the University of California Hastings School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1975. He practiced law for approximately 40 years, during the majority of which he represented the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County on environmental, real estate, and construction-related issues.

The most important thing to him in life was his family. In addition, over his lifetime, he enjoyed spending time at Huntington Lake in the Sierra Mountains and he loved jazz music and Dodger baseball. He regularly played golf at the Annandale Golf Club and the Glendora Country Club, both located in Southern California. He also loved international travel, especially travel to Italy.

A private family celebration of his life will be held in the future.
