DAVID WELLS

David W. Wells, Sr. was born on June 26, 1946. Known by friends as Dave and affectionately by his grandkids as "Papa," David was at home with his family when he passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012, from cancer. David was a United States Postal worker with 35 years of service. As a brick mason by trade, which was taught to him by his father, David enjoyed working alongside his family on weekends. David was awarded a Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War. In his spare time, he enjoyed the company of his children, grandchildren and friends, along with trips to Table Mountain Casino where he had fun spending his children's inheritance. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis "Dude" and Edna Wells. David is survived by his wife Jacquelyn, of Clovis; his children, Joyce Menyasz and her husband Peter of Nepean, Ontario Canada, Jeff Nay and his wife Jennifer of Clovis, David Wells, Jr. of Clovis, Yvonne Hurst and her husband Chad of Fresno, and Joey Wells and his wife Tina of Terre Haute, In.; his siblings, Leaman Wells and his wife Becky of Fresno, and Joyce Edwards of Clovis; his grandchildren, Jason, Tanner, Alex, Josh, Carlie, Chance, Emily, Jordan and Alexandria; A great-grandchild, Brylee; his dog Coco; and countless family and friends. Please join us for a Celebration of David's Life at North Park Community Church in Fresno, on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice.
