Edward Vivas Obituary

EDWARD V. VIVAS 1986 - 2007 Our loving son and brother left us doing what he loved best - riding his motorcycle with his friends on Thursday, June 14, 2007. He was only 21. Edward graduated from McLane High School in 2004 and later from West Hills College in 2006. He loved playing baseball, running cross country and wrestling. He was currently employed at Fresno Dairy Herd Improvement Assoc. as a lab technician. His family and friends were his life. We are truly going to miss him and we will never stop loving him. Edward is survived by his father, Eddie Vivas; mother, Pearl Perez; brothers, Isacc and Gaibriel Vivas; sister, Sebrina Vivas; grandfather, Daniel Vivas; and many other relatives and loved ones. Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L. St., on Thursday, June 21, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Johns Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa St., on Friday, June 22, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. The graveside service will follow at St. Peters Cemetery where Edward will be laid to rest. Any donations may be made to Bank of America, Edward Vivas Trust Fund Account #23325-67978.

I'm so sorry about your loss. I went to West Hills with Eddie, and I will always remember him to be one of those people that could always make people smile! When I think of him, his funny little dances are the first thing that come to mind! He was such a caring person, and he will be deeply missed! My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

Ed and Pearl I am so sorry for your loss I just heard about Edward today, I hope you all could find comfront in Gods loving arms. Edward was a great kid you did a great job. You guys are my family and Edward was like my brother...it feels like a bad dream and that if i go to your house he will be their smiling and dancing like always...many people were touched by edward and he has left his mark in our hearts...i miss him dearly and i wish i had one last time to tell him i loved him and that he was a great person...hopefully good things will come out of this tragedy..i love you guys never forget that...if you guys ever need anything im just a phone call away...

Eddie, Pearl, Please know how sorry we are to hear of Edward's passing, it broke our hearts to find this out today while searching for another friend's obituary. We remember all those wonderful times we had at the baseball games with Edward and Miguel and all the other kids and families, we hold these memories close to our hearts and hope that they will bring you comfort too. We certainly will miss Eddie. As a friend and a neighbor of his, it's hard to sleep at night knowing that he's gone. I will certainly miss hearing him drive his El Camino and riding his bike down the street. It's been too quiet without him. I will certainly miss him.

Dear Vivas Family,
I was Edwards counselor at West Hills College and found him to be a bright, sensitive student and also watched him play while he was with us....I have a 17 year old and it breaks my heart to read about these types of stories....He was a great kid and I'll remember his smiling face in the cafeteria serving me and my friend Tracey, the athletic trainer. We would go in at 8:45 almost every morning and Eddie was there....May God Bless the family in this difficult time.

Eddie & Pearl, I'm so sorry for your loss. I opened the newspaper today here at work and when I turned the page I just froze. I stood in shock with tears in my eyes looking at the handsome young man that has gone to be with the god. They years just go by so fast and I take for granted that I will see you and your family in passing somewhere in Sanger or Fresno. Which in times like this I wish I had made time to come by and see how everyone is. I feel so bad that I have lost contact with you guys and of course my godson Isacc. Life is to short and something like this proves it. Benny and Sammi send their love and may god give you strength through this tough time.
