Frances Belmonte Obituary

FRANCES BELMONTE Frances passed into the loving embrace of God and her husband on Monday, January 29, 2007. She courageously battled cancer with the same zeal she had for life every moment of every day. We are all grateful that the pain of mortal life is now behind her and that she will find rest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Frances was born on April 1, 1930, to Angelo and Lucia Dinubilo, the youngest in a family of eight. She cheerfully lived her entire life in Fresno where she attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Elementary School and four joyous years at San Joaquin Memorial. Frances' devotion to any job she had was only second to her family. Over the years she worked at Laura Scudders, fruit packing houses, Liberty Laundry, Kast of California, Woolworth's, Cooper's, which culminated in becoming a supervisor at Security Pacific Bank, one of the first women in Fresno to hold such a position. In February of 1950, she met Joseph Belmonte on the steps of St. Alphonsus; they were later married and had two children Marie and Robert. They were happily married until Joseph passed away on December 20, 1999. She now rejoins her beloved in eternal life and happiness. Our lives are empty without her, but her love and devotion to family will carry on beyond generations. A special thank you to all family, friends, and St. Agnes Hospice; we are all blessed by your love during this time. Frances is remembered by her sister, Mary Bernard; brothers, Tony and John Dinubilo; her sister-in-law and husband, Raffaela and John Accettura; brother-in-law, Dominic Belmonte; her daughter, Marie DeGeorge, and her son, Joseph; her son, Robert Belmonte and his wife Julie, and their daughter Jenna; and several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private visitation on February 1, 2007. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, on Friday, February 2, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to The Nazareth House, 2121 N. First St., Fresno, CA 93703; St. Agnes Hospice, 111 E. Spruce Ave., Fresno, CA 93720; or Nancy Hinds Hospice, 1416 W.
