FRANK BAEHR Obituary

Frank "Butch" Baehr, 77, passed away on February 12, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Frank was born in Parlier, California in 1939 to Roy and Mildred (Cary) Baehr. Frank attended Parlier High School where he met the love of his life, best friend and life partner of more than fifty years, Betty. They graduated High School in 1957 and began their life adventure together in Parlier. One of Frank's many passions in life was his love of farming and the outdoors, so he purchased a ranch in Kingsburg where he settled with his family. There with his wife and two sons, he became a self-taught expert in growing peaches, plums, nectarines, grapes and walnuts. His love for farming was only surpassed by his love of sports and spending quality time with family and friends. He was a long-time supporter of the Fresno State Bulldogs and closely followed collegiate and professional football, baseball and basketball. Along his life journey, Frank possessed the rare and unique quality to befriend just about anyone. In fact, people have said that Frank was the best friend they've ever had, and that he truly was a genuine and compassionate person that would do anything to help someone. We are lucky to have known and loved him. Frank is survived by his wife Betty and two sons, Mark Baehr from Kingsburg and Michael Baehr from San Diego. He is also survived by his loving brother Roy "Sam" Baehr from Bakersfield, his beloved sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other extended family, and a number of treasured friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Creighton Memorial Chapel, 1588 Lincoln Street, Kingsburg, CA 93631, today Wednesday February 17, at 1:00 p.m. Frank believed in giving back, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation in his honor to the American Lung Association or to your favorite charitable organization.

May I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Baehr. I know that losing a loved one is not easy, but our faith in Gods promises can help us get through difficult times like this. Please know that God cares and will give you the strength that you need. At 2Kings 20:5, he says," I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. I am healing you..." I hope this brings you comfort and helps you cope with your loss.
