George Martinez

GEORGE MARTINEZ George was born in Greeley, CO, on August 19, 1951, and died in Fresno, CA, on Tuesday, December 23, 2003. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Natalie Martinez Diaz; and his parents, Donna and Louie Lopez. George was Manager and Cook for Speedy Zapatos Restaurant for 28 years. He worked for Martin's Flowers for one year. He was currently working for Fresno Unifed School District as a Food Service Tech 1 at Techipite Middle School for the last two years. George is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Irma L. Martinez, his loving daughters, Jennifer Martinez and Stephanie Alvarado; his three grandchildren, Andrew "George" Martinez, Miranda Diaz and G.J. Alvarado; his son-in-law, Felix Diaz; his sister, Georgia and her husband Nico; his brothers, Dave and his wife Rose, Ben and his wife Cheryl, John and his wife Faye, Manuel and his wife Silvia, and Albert Espinoza; his sister-in-law, Rosalie Sanchez and her husband Delfino; his loving mother-in-law, Maria Bier; and many nieces and nephews. Georgie had a beautiful personality, was always kidding around, making people laugh wherever he went. Georgie was a loving husband, caring father, and a loving, caring man who touched everybody's life that knew him. "We will always Love You and Miss You. George thank you for sharing your life with all of us." Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at the Calaveras Chapel at Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at 10:00 a.m.
