Inge Andersen Obituary

INGE M. ANDERSEN Inge passed away on September 10, 2002, at the age of 91. Inge was born to Danish immigrants Hans Lauritz and Marie Steffensen on December 21, 1910, in Fresno. In 1913, she and her parents returned to Denmark where she began her schooling in 1915. In 1919, the family returned to Fresno, where they remained the rest of their lives. She was a graduate and salutatorian of Washington Union High School, in Easton, class of 1927. Her entire family rejoice and are thankful to have shared in her long, active and healthful life. As late as April of this year she traveled to Seattle, WA, to visit her grandson, and in June, she returned from a four week visit with her cousin, Johanna Andersen, in Denmark. Inge was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Henry S. Andersen, on August 30, 1992. Inge is survived by her two daughters, Jeanette Eskelsen and Stephanie Wagner and son Richard, all of Fresno; six grandchildren, Stacey Thompson, Lauri Andersen, Troy Wagner, Brooke Wagner, Nathan Andersen all of Fresno and Dane Andersen of Seattle; three great grandchildren, Katie and Nicholas Thompson and Arrianna Andersen all of Fresno. She is also survived by her brothers, Aage and Arthur Steffensen and sister Miriam Eskelsen all of Fresno. Visitation will be held at Wallin's Fowler Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2002 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Easton, on Saturday, September 14, 2002, at 9.00 A.M. Graveside Services will be held at Washington Colony Cemetery, Easton at 10:00 A.M.
