Jan Yuko Koga

October 13, 1963 - June 14, 2024

Fresno, California - Jan Koga passed away at the age of 60 on June 14 after a brief illness at Community Regional Medical Center. She was raised in Parlier and attended Parlier elementary schools and Reedley High School. She received her AA Degree at Reedley College, where she also played tennis. While in high school, Jan worked at the Chiamori, Nagare and Kobashi farms as a fruit packer and also had part time jobs during college at Central Bank, Selma Post Office and the IRS.

She eventually got a full time job at the IRS and worked there for over 34 years. She enjoyed bowling, volleyball, watching t.v. and traveling with her parents and sister. She also watched many of her niece's and nephew's basketball tournaments.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Midori Koga of Ben's Cafe and nephew Conner Kurahashi. She is survived by her cat "Duke", sister Gay, brother in-law, Brian, and niece Bailey Kurahashi; cousins: Curtis and Cheryl Koga, Dick and Hisako Koga, Julia and Dean Ueda, Steven and Susan Nishida, Duane and Sheila Koba, Ann and Mike Ong, Janice Kodama, Lance and Ophilia Kodama, Jay Kodama and their extended families.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6 at the Buddhist Church of Parlier at 11am.
