JENNIFER DONALDSON Obituary

Jennifer passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Fresno, California, with her family by her side, at age 66. Born in Lindsay on March 10, 1945, to Florence Marie Hilbert and Jerold C. Daniells, Jennifer was raised by Florence and Wendell Fred Bishop, and graduated from Lindsay High School in 1963. Ten years later, she met George B. Donaldson on a blind date for her class reunion. Their connection was immediate and undeniable, and they were married on February 16, 1974. Jennifer resided with George in Fresno for the past 37 years, where they raised their daughter and son, and Jennifer cherished the time spent with her three grandchildren at activities and local events. A compassionate and caring person even from an early age, Jennifer studied nursing at the St. Joseph Nursing College in San Francisco, and later worked at the Lindsay Hospital. Her love of people and family manifested itself throughtout her life, and was reknowned amongst everyone who came in contact with her. She loved to welcome friends and loved ones into her home for holidays, and truly was the lynchpin for her extended family as a whole, tracking family geneology and planning numerous reunions and gatherings to bring her family closer together. This passion for always being in contact with the ones she loved also fueled Jennifer's open armed-embrace of email and the Internet, which she used to stay in touch with and plan events for her high school friends as well. An avid scrap-booker, sewer, and knitter, Jennifer was also a devoted sports fan, following NASCAR as well as her San Francisco 49ers and Giants (and was ecstatic to see them finally win a World Series this past November). A warm-hearted, gentle, and caring individual, Jennifer was cherished for her warm smile and supportive nature, but much more importantly, for her ability to love. She will be truly missed. The family would like to thank the ER Staff at Clovis Community Medical Center and the staff at Fresno Community Medical Center for their professional service and compassionate care. Their kindness and consideration are sincerely appreciated. Jennifer is survived by her husband George; daughter Dawn "Dede" Schultz and her husband Mark of Clovis; son, Matthew Donaldson of Madera; brothers, Charles Bishop of El Dorado Hills, Clay Daniells of Laguna Beach, Brian Daniells of San Diego, and Jim Daniells of San Marcos; and grandchildren, William, Nathaniel, and Rachel Schultz of Clovis. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Viewing will be held at the Clovis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Clovis on Friday, March 25, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., followed by Graveside Service at the Lindsay District Cemetery in Lindsay, California at 1:15p.m.. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations please be made to the Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org); or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Clovis (www.olphclovis.org). Deepest condolences to Jennifer's family and friends. I knew Jennifer back in the 1980's, when I was secretary to her husband, George, at Wilbur-Ellis Company. Jennifer would stop by the office on occasion, and she was always gracious and charming, with a smile for everyone. I was so sorry to hear of her passing, and my thoughts and prayers are with the Donaldsons in their time of grief. Heaven has a new angel, and her name is Jennifer.

My condolences to Jennifer's family. I am another of her Internet friends from Nutri System. I joined in 2007 and she was one of my inspirations. She made her goal with such enthusiasm she kept all of us on track. Because she was a Nascar fan was another of our mutual interests. You are in my prayers and thoughts.
