JOANN HIXSONHALL Obituary

Joann Hixson-Hall, a lifelong resident of the Reedley and Orange Cove, CA area, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the age of 86. She was married to Bill Hixson in 1953, and they were married for 37 years. She lost Bill in an accidental death in 1990. She married Jack Hall in 1998. They were married for 15 years until his death in 2013. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her caring spirit and heartfelt compassion touched all her family, neighbors, and friends. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Orange Cove for 65 years. Over the years, she was involved with Reedley Young Farmers; Orange Cove Women's Club; All Slavonic American Association; American Cancer Society; and organizing church fundraisers and boutiques. She enjoyed and excelled in watercolor painting, flower arranging, gardening, and sewing. Joann was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Hixson; second husband, Jack Hall; and Jack's son, Kenneth Hall. She is survived by her children, Brad Hixson and wife Patty, and Brian Hixson and wife Kathy; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Jack's children, Kay Kezirian and husband Ed, Peggy Roybal and husband Mike, and Stuart Hall and wife Tina; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Orange Cove, 499 6th Street, Orange Cove, CA, on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made in Joann's honor to the First Presbyterian Church in Orange Cove.
