West Point, California - Joseph Griffin Freschet passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 in West Point, CA at the age of 40 years old. Joe was born in Jackson, CA on October 20, 1981, the son of Catherine Marie (Barry) and Norman David Freschet and stepmom Mary Freschet.
Joe is survived by his sister, Sarah Bird, of Peoria, AZ, stepsisters Cindy Espe, of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Susan Woods, of Post Falls, ID, and Christy Gilber, of Post Falls, ID. He is also survived by nieces, Addison and Avery Bird of Peoria, AZ. Joe also had too many aunts, uncles, cousins and step-nephews and nieces to name! We know Joe loved his family and his numerous friends.
Joe grew up in Amador County graduating from Amador High School in 1999. He spent most of his life in Jackson with the exception of several years in Sacramento. Joe loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors in the mountains. He was an avid football-sports enthusiast. Most of all Joe loved his large family but especially his dog, Mason. Joe had several businesses but most recently he was a tree feller in the logging industry for 4 years.
Joe will be missed by his large family and his many friends. His parents and family invite you to attend a Celebration of Joe's life on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Italian Picnic Grounds, 581 CA Highway 49, Sutter Creek, CA from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
