It was a privelege for my family and I to know Bill, his thoughtfulness and kindness were special to so many. A fine Christian man and a gentleman always. Peggy Liggett Hall (Conover, NC)

Bill, you were a very positive part of my life when I was being greatly challenged. I am not sure that I ever thanked you for it, I would hope that my actions at the time would have at least made it clear how I felt. I haven't seen you for a long time, but that doesn't mean I have not loved you through these years. You were always a high impact person who will always be a part of everyone's heart. May I give my condolences to you Elinor and hope that you have a lot of love surrounding you at this hard time. Bob

Uncle Bill touched many people's lives…I was one of those lucky people. His smile, laugh and lovable personality will be remembered forever in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you Auntie Elinor.

Knowing Bill Ritchie was a treat, with his infectious grin and big heart! Working for him was a pleasure. What a great boss, what a fantastically positive person. You will be missed Bill, but if you have anything to say about it, you'll be "on the road again" on bigger highways! Hugs to you Elinor, my heart goes out to you.
