Lucile Jones Hale

LUCILE JONES HALE Lucile Hale passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2004. She was born in her Las Deltas, CA home to Mike and Beth Jones on December 11, 1914. Lucile graduated from Dos Palos High School, then Fresno State College. After receiving her degree in Education and English, she taught junior high school in Coalinga for 14 years. Lucile retired from teaching to marry Tranquillity area farmer, Millard Hale. They raised three daughters. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, a true friend. Lucile cared deeply for others, being selfless with her time and generous with her personal attention. In all people, she saw the good within and focused on each individual's strengths. Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Hale; and her brother, Leland Jones. She is survived by her sister, Grace Palmer of Prescott, AZ; daughters, Karen Hale and her husband, Richard Calderwood of Centerville, Susy Cantu and her husband Steve, and Sandy Shervem and her husband Henry; and grandchildren, Katherine and Laura Calderwood. A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Fresno, 1343 E.
