Wilfred Wareham

1947 - 2026

Leroy was born on December 3rd, 1947, to William and Genevieve Wareham in Nova Scotia, Canada. In 1958, his parents moved Leroy and his five siblings to the United States, where the family settled in Dos Palos, California. He graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1966, and later that same year, he married the love of his life, Merry "Duckie" Harman. They began their young family and would go on to raise them in Dos Palos. Leroy spent the majority of his lifetime running WL Wareham Construction. Living in Dos Palos, he was dedicated to working for his community with his son William, who continues the business today. Leroy was a true lover of life. Outgoing, charismatic, and full of humor. He never met a stranger. Those who knew him loved him, and he will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Merry Wareham; his four children and their spouses: Marnie and Todd Hamilton, William and Michelle Wareham, Meribeth and Ryan Martin, and Jamilee and Brice Sumpter; his 11 grandchildren, and soon-to-be three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Wilfred Leroy Wareham; his parents, William and Genevieve Wareham; and his sister, Mary Jean Redd. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 30th, at 15510 Bryant Ave. Dos Palos, CA 93620 from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
