LUPE HERNANDEZ

On Monday, May 27, 2013, Lupe Bonilla Hernandez passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters. She was born April 28, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Eleno and Gloria Bonilla. Lupe was a Eucharistic Minister at SacredHeartChurch for 24 years ministering at various hospitals and rest homes in Fresno. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and had extreme compassion for the poor and homeless. In addition, she had the gift of hospitality and would never let you leave her home without making sure you were fed a delicious meal. She loved gardening and was an avid doll collector. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law; John and Martha Castro, Robert and Angie Alviso, Gloria Hernandez, Larry and Shirley Arce, Alan and Jeanette Brajkovich. Surviving brothers and sister; Raymond Bonilla, Merced Bonilla, Mary Lou Flores, and Manuel Bonilla. She was blessed to have 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Epifano "Tano" Hernandez and son Steven Edward Hernandez. A Viewing will be on Monday, June 3, 2013, from 5-9 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Palm-La Paz Funeral Home, 2983 Tulare Street, 93721, at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 929 Harvard Ave., Clovis, Ca 93612, on Tuesday, June 4, 2013; with burial to immediately follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N.
