Marcelino Gamino Obituary
November 13, 1996 - April 15, 2025
Fresno, California - Marcelino departed this life at the age of 28. He attended Clovis East High School and graduated from California State University, Fresno with a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. His greatest joy was his family. Marcelino served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps for three years, serving with honor in the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, where he earned many decorations. His is truly a tragic loss for family, friends, and the community, and he will be deeply missed by all.
Marcelino's family asks that donations made in his memory go to the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, located at 808 4th Street, Clovis, California, 93612.
A visitation for Marcelino will be held on May 13, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Stephens and Bean Chapel, located at 202 N Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California, 93706. A Celebration of Life service will be held the next day, May 14, 2025, at the same location starting at 10:00am with a burial at Belmont Memorial Park to follow.

Mark and my son were best friends in high school. He used to to come over. I remember his grandma coming over to meet us to make sure he was in a safe environment. I remember when he came over in his red car that his grandparents had got him... nice car, better than mine. Always coming over with his fountain drink. Here is a picture I found on his IG of him and my son, Anthony Gomez, when they were younger. Mark was a good kid. My sincerest condolences to his family. May he rest peacefully

It is with a heavy heart that I extend our deepest condolences on behalf of the Fresno State Sociology Department to the Gamino Family on the occasion of the passing of their beloved Marcellino Mark Gamino. Mark was an alumni of our sociology department at Fresno State, and I also remember him personally from his enrollment in my Sociology 111 course on "Race & Ethnicity" from the Fall 2019 semester (right before the COVID-19 pandemic sent us all online). Mark participated in class and always had a smile on his face. May you be comforted by the support of family and friends during this time of mourning, knowing that Mark's legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him.
