Mary Simonian Obituary

Mary Simonian passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2007, at the age of 95. She was born on October 4, 1912, in Wor-cester, Ma. to Avedis and Higanoosh Kaprielian. In 1920 the family moved to Fresno, Ca. Mary attended Locan Elementary and Sanger High School. After marrying Michael Simonian in 1941 the couple settled on their ranch at Clovis and Jensen Avenues in Fresno, known today as Simonian Farms. Mary was a member of the Pilgrim Armenian Con-gregational Church, Dorcas Guild; and President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Mothers of Minerva. Mary's passion for cooking and gardening was a source of love and inspiration for her family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Michael; brother Michael; sister Margaret; and brother Martin. Mary was a vivacious woman who loved the company of friends and family and always offered an extra seat at her table. She was a tenacious and spirited woman who lived 95 blessed years and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her son, Dennis Simonian and his wife Bonnie; daughter, Judy Gregerson and her husband Eric; grandchil-dren, Stacy Marini, Cora Bahl, Kimberly Keathley, Chad Gregerson, Ashley Simonian. and five great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at the Pilgrim Armen-ian Congregational Church on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Inter-ment will be at Belmont Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers remem-brances may be made to the Hinds Hospice Home or the donor's favorite charity.
