Hi honey. Today is six months to the day since you went home to be with our LORD Jesus Christ. Boy how I miss you. Alot of things have been happening since you left; some good, some bad but I know you and the LORD have been watching out over me. Dylan is getting so big and soon we will have a new baby to love. I see alot of you in Dylan. He now says "wow" just like you did. So cute. I love you.

Oh Mike, I miss you so much. I keep thinking I could have done more to help you beat the cancer. I guess I know deep down that I did all I could but that doesn't make the pain of losing you any less hurtful. Every morning I see a bright shining star and it reminds me of you and it makes me smile.

There is not a minute that goes by that I don't think of you. We shared so much in such a short time. I find myself staring off at a wall or looking outside and the world just seems a little bit colder without you here. I miss you so much and so do our "girls".

To Mike's Family, This has got to be the same young man that worked at Save Mart on Shields and Brawley, back in the 90's. If so Mike started as a service clerk, I remember him as a extremely respectful, courteous, polite, very friendly, and an extremely hard working young man. I remember his "Mustang" (60's). When I get together with old friends from that store. I always asked, has anyone seen "Mike Nunes?" Tomorrow, we are getting together, and I am very sad too give them the update. I am quite certain, I have the correct person, except back then, he was a young kid, always smiling, just starting out and going to school. Well now I see that "Mike" grew up to be a man of "faith in the LORD", a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and a well rspected professional man.
My deepest sympathy to all of Mike's family.

We will worship and sing praise to our savior together one day. For now rest in his love and glory. You will always have my heart. Love you always and forever:-)

The Lord brings us people in our path for a reason. Mike was a inspiration to everyone around him. I will never forget his smile and jokes, he really knew how to light up a room. To Julie, we all love you so much. I want to leave a inspiring quote to you by Winnie the Pooh: “If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart, I'll always be with you.”

I am so proud to have know Mike. Even though I only saw him a couple of times I will always remember him and his gentle spirit. He was truly an inspiration. He strength was amazing as he went though the difficult journey. I know he walked with the lord. You could see the glow of his spirit every time he smiled.
Barbara I am grateful to call you my friend. You are a beautiful sole and you and Mike shared the same strength which I always admired. I was also blessed to meet Julie tonight and I have to say I saw the same spirit in her and I understand how she came to be in Mikes life. You are all wonderful examples of how the lord can work in our lives even through the storms.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
we all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the Journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peach,
Together with the Lord.

Mike you were an amazing person, someone I'm glad I had the pleasure to meet. You're the type of guy who would light up a room with your contagious smile and laughter. Although, we didn't get to spend much time together, I cherish the memories we shared. I hope my son grows up to be half the person you were. You're going to make a fine angel. Until we see each other again in heaven, you'll be deeply missed here on earth.

Mike was such a friendly and gentle soul. My memories will always be of his big infectious smile along with the leather 50's style "greaser" jacket he wore while we were students/graduate assistants. I have only met Julie briefly, but have heard how much joy, love, and pride she brought as Mike's wife and partner. Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts go out to all of Mike's family and friends. We all share tears now, but in due time when he comes to mind, many will again think of him with fond memories and smile on their faces.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Mike left this earth so soon, or why Mike left before we were ready to say good-bye, but that Mike's life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. We are here for you Julie.
