MITSUKO YAMAMOTO Obituary

Mitsuko Yamamoto passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017, after many years of bravely battling health issues. Mitsuko was born on January 13, 1935, in Tokyo City, Japan, to Joichi and Kimiyo Minemoto. She was the youngest of five children. Mitsuko grew up in Tokyo, and later during World War II, she moved to Hiroshima shortly before the atomic bomb was dropped. In 1961, she met her future husband, Yutaka, and he realized that she was the most beautiful person he had ever seen and asked for her hand in marriage. They married on June 23, 1962, in Fresno, CA. In 1963, her son, Robby, was born followed by daughter, Tara, in 1968. Mitsuko is survived by her husband Yutaka; son Robby; daughter Tara; sister, Shigeko Iguchi of Japan; brothers in-law, Haruo Yamamoto and wife Aiko of Menlo Park, CA, Yuki Yamamoto and wife Jane of Walnut Creek, CA; niece, Laura Davis and husband Michael of Lafayette, CA; and great-nieces, Jessica, Jenna, and Audrey Davis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Japan. The family would like to thank Dr. Dennis Nakata for his many years of care; and Dr. Joseph Pascuzzo, Irene Moore, Marcella, Susan, and Dina of CCare for making her feel so loved. We would also like to thank Gemma and the staff on 2-West at St. Agnes Medical Center for their kindness. A Memorial Service will be held at Fresno Dharma Center, 2690 E. Alluvial Ave. Fresno, CA 93720, on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 'L' Street, Fresno, California (559)266-0666
