Nancy was strong, resourceful, smart, and dedicated to her faith and doing right. Back when we met in 1961, I had never met anyone who was born in California. To me she was the ultimate pioneer woman.
She and Bill lived in the apartment above us in Wurzburg, Germany. We were young, officers' wives and mothers with small children. She was a better mother than I (her children were better behaved)! Our families attended the Post Chapel together.
She was my good friend and mentor! She taught me, a spoiled Southern belle, how to clean our apartment (hers was always spotless)! And she trained me to call my mother-in-law "Mother" instead of Mrs. Pace!
Every year since leaving Germany in the early '60's, our first Christmas card was always from Nancy and Bill. We enjoyed receiving these with all the family updates. I also received fun birthday cards from her every year. One year she and Bill came to see us in Richmond, VA in their RV. What a pleasure it was to be with them again.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Nancy´s passing. She always remembered every birthday and anniversary. She and her husband Bill were the greatest of people this world had to offer. She will be forever missed. Prayers and hugs to you her survivors. May you always cherish her memories!
