Peggy Walters

January 31, 1952 - March 4, 2025

Tulare, California - It is with a sad heart we announce that Peggy Walters, 73, of Easton-Fresno passed peacefully surrounded by family March 4, 2025. Born on January 31, 1952 in Fresno, California to Phillip and Vivian Walters, she grew up in Easton and graduated from Washington Union High School. She began her 30-year career with the IRS in Fresno, then joined the U.S. Forest Service where she worked for the Inyo, San Bernardino, and Sequoia National Forests. She retired in 2010, and moved to Tulare. Peggy was a passionate person whose kind, cheerful nature rubbed off onto everyone she met. She loved to watch her 49ers and Cowboys, garden while loudly listening to classic rock, and spend time with family and friends. To share a memory of Peggy, go to www.online-tribute.com/peggywalters. Survived by sisters, Shirley, Connie (Dave), Diane, Ida (Steve); brother Mike (Melissa); and 11 nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life on April 27, 2025, 1-4 at her sister Ida's house in Tulare.

Peggy was a good friend. She was sweet and kind. Jana, Peggy and I would go shopping and many times ended up at a nursery to buy plants and flowers. I imagine her walking in the sunshine among the plants and flowers. I miss her and hope to someday see her again. May she rest in peace
