RAY EBERLE Obituary

Ray Harold Eberle died from complications of diabetes December 11, 2014. He was born August 10, 1946 in Portsmouth, NH. For the last year he lived at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN. The nurses and staff of the Humboldt facility deserve the highest praise for their devotion and efforts on his behalf. He served in the US Army stationed in Germany. He was the owner of Eberle’s Stationary store on Market Square in Portsmouth. He served as president of the Portsmouth Rotary Club in 1976 and was a member of the Portsmouth police commission in the ‘80s. After moving to Memphis in 1994, he worked at AutoZone in the credit card banking department. He is survived by his brother, Joseph Eberle III (Sandra) of Memphis and nephew Cole Eberle (Lindsey) of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Eberle, Jr. and Eleanor Sandford Eberle Conner of Rye Beach, NH. Memorials may be sent in his honor to the TSVA (Tennessee State Veterans Home), 2865 E. Main Street, Humboldt, TN 38343. Burial will be in Rye, NH.
