RAYMOND JOSEPH PERRY

Ray was born on July 7, 1930, in Vallejo, CA, to Joseph and Julia Perry. He grew up in the Sacramento, CA, and Auburn, CA, area. He was taken unexpectedly from his loving family on May 14, 2015, at the age of 84. Ray married at a young age and worked different jobs to provide for his family, before being appointed by State Farm Insurance Company. He enjoyed a long and successful career for 35 years. The majority of these years were spent in Fresno. During this time, Ray and his wife Myrtle, traveled extensively with the State Farm family, forging many friendships. A great passion in Ray's life was golf. He was a long standing member of Fort Washington Golf and Country Club. Through this membership, he developed wonderful and long lasting friends. Wednesday and Friday golf games with Jack, Ray, and Roger, were the highlight of his week. Ray was preceded in death by Myrtle, his wife of 56 years; and his son Karl. He is survived by his sons, Bob and his wife Linda, and Douglas and his wife Marla. Ray had four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. His family has wonderful memories of times shared. We will miss him greatly. In honoring Ray's wishes, there will be no service. The family asks that you think of him and remember special moments you have shared in his life.
