Pop,
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I hope you are proud of what I've become. I tell Kaylene and Ruben many stories about you. I tell them how much there papa would have spoiled them, and how you would of been at every one one Rubens games with a icechest filled as if we were going on a long trip. Geez... only if you were with us today. The Velasquez genes are so strong, that all the kids are so beautiful and handsome. Our family has grown so much, I wish you were here to enjoy it with us. I love you Pop for always.

To the Velasquez Family, my deepest condolences. I went to Scandinavian Middle School, with Monique and I remember Mr. Velasquez, he left an impression on me, I remember when I asked him, if he was Monique's dad and he told me yes and not to tell anybody, I remember the first day I saw him, there was a fight at school, between two kids and he barreled his way through the crowd and broke up the fight. I always admired him. I thought about him and Monique through out the years, I know that he will always be truly missed by every one that knew him, especially his family. Today, I learned of his passing, I am in shock and disbelief. If possible, I would like to know how Monique's been, if you would forward my number. (661)346-8098 Thank you, Sincerely Yours, Steven

POP ,what I write can not possibly explain how much of a impact you have played in my life and such a encourgement every time I needed you, you were there, you have taught me what faimly means and what it means to be a Velasquez I am very proud to say I am a Velasquez you want us to live the impossiable dream well you did it because we are, I know your up there with our guardian angels telling them all your stories I know we will all reunite with you when it is our time to go to heaven, your memory never dies and your everlasting love is unconditional love that will always stay in my heart and the bigger our faimly grows the more your memorys will be told to we will tell our children and thier children and on and on about a man who was very courageos, strong, wise, loving, respected man who would tell everybody to don't give up live, dream, the impossiable dream and is now a Angel and that Angel is their papa. So I look up at heaven and smile and know that your looking down at me and saying "That's right mija now your talking like a Velasquez, GET DOWN GIRL!" So I suggest who ever reads this to look up toward heaven and smile because he is looking right back at us and nadding his head and smiling.(Your are Always remembered & Loved 4 Ever & Eternity)

To My Cousins,

I know, I mean I really know this Holiday Season will be hard without your father. All of you have to stay strong, get along, and don't fight. Your father wouldn't want that.

I could always count on him. I would call him and say "Rayve can you stand in at church for my sons baptism" and he sure was there. Again I called on him, will you baptize my baby and he sure loved being The Godfather of children and never did he hesitate to say "YES". There is so much I can write about your father but will cherish in my heart.

Your Fathers Love toward My Father (UNCLE COCONUT) will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

There is a saying "WHAT WE ONCE ENJOY AND DEEPLY LOVED WE CAN NEVER LOSE, FOR ALL THAT WE LOVE DEEPLY (DAD) BECOMES A PART OF US."

I know we haven't lost my cousin in spirt because he left a special part of him in all of the

Velasquez Kids.

To the Family,

I am very sorry for your loss. I never had the chance to meet Mr. Velasquez but I know he wanted to meet my son Erik. Never did I imagine that we would miss the opportunity to unite him with his grandson. Now, that opportunity has passed and we are all very sorry. Please accept our deepest condolences. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I just want to extend my prayers to Ray's Parents & family that God would comfort them & heal them at this difficult time. Ray was a very special man to many of our family members but especially to our Tia Patsy. They were just so happy together,we know he suffered alot towards the end but now he is at peace. Ray thanks for being that special someone to my Tia & also for touching the lives of my mom, sisters, nieces & nephews. You will always be remembered.

To the Velasquez Family,

My name is Grace Palomino, I'm one of the best friends to Ray Ve's eldest daugther Monique. I would just like to say that I'm truely honored to having the privilege of meeting and knowing Ray since "88". He was such a sweet & wonderful man as well as a loving father to all of his kids/grandchildren. He would always pat all of Monique's friends on our heads when ever we would come over his house to visit...that was his way of giving us a cheerful hello, he made his home your home. My heart and prayers go out to the Velasquez family. "Ray...you will be deeply missed by all who care and love you. "May your sprit soar and look over your family & friends, for you are with your King now...resting in peace".

P.S. Monique "Moe" I love you and will always be there for you and your family. Thanks for always being there.

Sincerly,

Grace "Gracie" Palomino

My deepest condolence at this time of sorrow and loss.

Ray Ve I am really going to miss you. We have a lot of great memories growing up at Grandmas! You were definetely one of my favorite cousins; you were always there for me and in my corner when I was going through my hard knocks in life. You never turned your back on me, you just kept loving me anyway. I am truely grateful for that! Believe me cousin, I will never forget you and I'll see you again some day up in heaven with Grandman and my Mom.

Ray Ve, We little knew that morning that GOD was going to call your name. In life we LOVED YOU dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for a part of us went with you, the day GOD called you home.

You left everyone peaceful memories, YOUR LOVE is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Youur family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as GOD calls us one by one, THE CHAIN will link again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Velasquez Family.

With deepest Sympathy and Love ~

To my Father-In-Law

Ray Velasquez

I remember the first day I met you, you took me outside and had a long talk with me. You told me to be a MAN'S MAN, and how love between a man and a woman is hard. As time went by I became a part of your family and you excepted me with open arms. I remember the day you told me you loved me as a son-in-law, that day meant alot to me and I will never forget it. I will always remember the times I would go over and you would play your oldies or your slow mexican songs. I promise this to you as long as I live and no matter what happens I will always be there for my wife, your daughter, and my kids, your grandchilderen. You always told me if you give love to people, people will always give you love in return. Those are words I will try to to live by. Thank you for always letting me be apart of your family and a part of your life. I love you and will never forget you.

Your Son-In-Law,

Raul S.Dominguez

Deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I will always remember him as always thinking of others before himself. He was a proud man with great strength which he displayed to the end. It was an honor to know him and I feel very blessed to have been related to him. It is now your turn to go into the world and live your life to its fullest for your fathers sake. Become the person you always dreamed you could be. Instill in your children all the values and morals you learned from your father. Thru your inheritance, your goals and aspirations can now become your reality. You now have the ability to do things that only others can imagine. He was so proud of all of you, but just think how much he would enjoy seeing you all adventure out into new territory. GO THE DISTANCE! YOU ARE YOUR FATHER'S LEGACY.

I know you have lots of family support during this time of sorry, however, I am also here for all of you if you need me. Call me for anything (440-9935).

Love you all!
