RICHARD HARPER

Richard Duane Harper, age 81, of Fresno, CA, passed peacefully at home on Friday March 24, 2017. He was born in Reedley, CA on Halloween of 1935, to Madeline Ribail Harper, and Floyd Monroe Harper. A graduate of San Joaquin Memorial High School, he met his wife, Mary Vasconcelos, through the Fresno Catholic Social Club. He was employed by St. Agnes Hospital for 26 years. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his son Philip; and son-in-law, James Dooms. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of nearly 55 years; brother, Douglas and wife Barbara; brother-in-law, John and partner Harriet; aunt, Lucille Zulim; children, Annmarie, Stephen and wife Becky, Paula, Karen and husband Rob, and Monica and husband Pierre; daughter-in-law, Karen Ceniceros; grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsay, Nathaniel, Alexander, Havana, and Ilyana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15437 W. Kearney Blvd. Kerman, CA 93630, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kerman, on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Fresno, CA.
