Dr. Robert Edward Trombetta

Fresno, California - Known to all as Bob or "Trom", he and his twin sister Patty were born on June 24, 1935, to J.C. and Emma Trombetta in Oakland, California. He went to be with the Lord Jesus on March 1, 2023.
He is survived by his sister Jackie Gerbo, his son David and wife Leah, daughter Lisa, son Rob and wife Michelle, grandson Albert, granddaughters Amanda, Reina, and Miranda, great-granddaughter Madison, and great-grandsons Lincoln, and Deacon.
He is preceded by his father Julius, his mother Emma, and twin sister Patricia.
He was a practicing dentist for 46 years, was president of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society in 1970, and donated his services as Staff Dentist for 43 years to Fresno State Athletics. He was a devoted member of Northwest Church for 46 years where he was head usher for 30 years.
In 1968 he gathered a small group to start what would become Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California which has now grown to serve Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare counties and has impacted the lives of over 30,000 children.
His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting with his sons and working in his vegetable garden. He truly enjoyed curing Olives for his friends, Italian Food, and the Fresno State Bulldogs.
He loved to start his mornings by reading the Bible.
Services will be at Northwest Church on Monday, March 20 at 11:00 AM.
The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California.
