Rose Marie (Missakian) Avedian was born on June 30, 1933 to Mesrob and Mary Blanche Missakian in Venice Beach, Ca. Rose entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, after a long battle with Cancer.
Rose was blessed with two brothers Harold in March of 1939, and Arsen in June of 1946. She was very close to her brothers and loved them dearly. On July 16, 1948 the family moved to Selma, where they bought the family farm. She did love the country life and cherished the good memories each time she visited.
In 1967 Rose married Norman Avedian and they shared 42 wonderful years together. They were inseparable. The core of their life was their love for each other, their families and friends. Rose drew on her experience in the up bringing of her brothers to enrich the lives of her nieces and nephews. Rose was a trusted mentor as well as a source of wisdom and joy to them.
Many still fondly remember Rose's cheerful smile from the time she worked at Bank of America where she was a note teller for 15 years.
Rose was a devoted housewife, and she loved her home in Sunnyside. Rose's generous spirit, her organizational skills, and careful attention to detail made her a welcome member of various organizations and committees of which she took generous part in. She touched so many lives and hearts.
Rose and Norman routinely enjoyed a change of scenery. They cherished the trips and cruises they took and enjoyed together.
Rose Avedian enriched so many lives. Her loving presence, as well as "Aunt Rose's Pilaf", will be greatly missed.
She is survived by Norman Avedian, her loving husband of 42 years; her younger brother's, Harold Missakian, and Arsen Missakian and his wife Annie; brotherin-law, Richard Avedian and his wife Carol; nephews, Michael and Eric Missakian, Harold Jr. Missakian and his wife Rita, Ryan Missakian, Jonathan Avedian and his wife Jennifer, Heather Bain and her husband Kenny, great-niece, LuAnn Missakian, and great-nephews, Jacob and Elijha Avedian.
