Donald Sharp Obituary

Donald Alexander Sharp, III was born on June 13, 1969, in Atlanta, Georgia and passed away peacefully in his residence on November 28, 2025, in Vidalia, Georgia.

Mr. Sharp was affectionately known as "Donnie" to his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Alexander Sharp, Jr. and is survived by his mother, Shirley Moorhead Sharp, and his brother, Bradley Spencer Sharp. Donnie leaves behind many loving relatives to include Owen Moorhead, Grady Moorhead, Cooper Moorhead, Alexandra Torinus, Elizabeth Torinus, Mary and Marc Becker, and Christopher and Sarah Newell.

Donnie attended Saint Pius High School and Northside High School, where he played on the varsity football teams. After high school, he studied horticulture at Kennesaw State University. Donnie was a dedicated son, brother, and friend. He had a terrific sense of humor and was loved by many. He enjoyed playing sports and spending time with friends. He had an adventurous spirit, leading to backpacking across New Zealand. Donnie was a kind soul who was always willing to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who love him.

I was heartbroken to hear about the passing of Donnie. To many of us who knew him during our high school years and beyond, he was more than just a classmate-he was a genuine, steady presence with a quick smile and an easy laugh. Donnie and I met at St. Pius and became fast friends. When we weren´t together in person, we spent countless hours on the phone-sharing long conversations, swapping stories, and laughing about anything and everything. In those formative years, he was one of my greatest supporters, and I was his. Along with his wonderful sense of humor, Donnie had an adventurous spirit-always exploring, discovering, and embracing life fully while he remained grounded in kindness. That kind of friendship leaves a mark that never fades.

Donnie´s passion for the outdoors became a lifelong calling. It was clear he didn´t just work with the land-he cared for it, the same way he cared for the people around him. Whether it was helping a friend in need, sharing a joke, or simply showing up with that unmistakable warmth, Donnie made an impact that will not be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed, and my heart goes out to his mother, Shirley, his brother, Brad, and all who loved him. May his memory continue to shine in the lives and the land he touched, and may we honor him by carrying forward the kindness and joy he so freely gave.
