"A.J." Aaron Huff Obituary

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Village Chapel for "A.J." Aaron Joe Huff Jr., 18, Gadsden, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018. Bro. Mitchell Gibbs will officiate. Burial in Garner Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
A.J. was a former student at Gadsden City High School. He was very active and played football, basketball, and baseball. He loved fishing, hunting, playing with his brothers and sisters or any kid for that matter. A.J. had an extremely high IQ but never cared for being locked in school much. He was very proud of his recent job at Paramount Pools and was constantly bragging about sticking with the company and being someone with them.
He was preceded in death by his grandma, Kay Shaw; grandpa, Billy Huff; and little brother, Tristain Robert Wertz.
He is survived by his future wife, Tristan Abby Lightsey; parents, Angel Marie Epps (Tony Gray) and Aaron Joe Huff Sr. (Peggy Huff); chosen daddy, Joshua Wertz; chosen mommas, Annie Finley and Selita (Thomas) Callander; grandparents, Todd (Belinda) Epps I, Curly Maxwell, Joan Gray, Larry Shaw, and Teresa Huff; brothers, Xander Laughin, Tyler Finley; chosen brother, Tre Epps, Josh Rivera, and Samuel Delgado; sisters, Aaliyah Peppers, Trinity Laughlin, and Legacy Robinson; chosen sisters, Stephanie, Madison, and Miranda Epps, Brittany Smith, and Brooke and Brittney Finley; uncle, Todd Epps II (Melissa Stiles); and a host of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Finley, Tre Epps, Brandon Roberts, Bobby Miller, Zack Miller, Samuel Delgado, Jeffrey Stone, and Kody Link.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service Tuesday.
