Arris Chambers Obituary
Mrs. Chambers was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. She graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1954. She was retired from Family Saving Federal Credit Union after 30 years of service. She was a lifetime member of Dwight Baptist Church. Arris was an avid volunteer for any activity her church needed her for.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Omie Murdock Heflin; sisters, Hazel H. Roper and Helen H. McKinney.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by her husband, Jerry "Booie" Chambers; sister, Jackie Ryan; special nephews, Harley "Chip" (Sheila) Ryan Jr. and Todd (Lisa) Ryan; special great-nephews, Todd Ryan Jr. and Harley Ryan, III.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bonnie Golden Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to "New Life Center-Dwight Baptist Church".
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Mazen Hakim.
There will be no visitation.

It is so very sad to learn of Arris' death. She and Booie were lifetime friends of our family, and were very dear to my parents during their 22 years of ministry in Gadsden. Always cheerful and a devoted wife. We have all been blessed by her life and by her loving heart. Her last step on this earth was her first step into Heaven.
