Benjamin F. Feit Jr.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Benjamin F. Feit Jr., 81, Rainbow City, Ala., who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. The Rev. David Jones and the Rev. Ray Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Ben was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a faithful runner for over 30 years. He was an avid Braves baseball fan (even when they played Pittsburgh) and an Alabama football fan. He attended White Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the Kings Men Sunday School class.
Mr. Feit was a retired veteran from the U.S. Air Force and Anniston Army Depot with over 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Hunter Feit; father, Benjamin F. Feit Sr.; sisters, Geri Wolfe, Helen Rosenburg, Eleanor Blum, all of Tionesta, Pa., Anna Mae Andrako, of Titusville, Pa., and Betty Williams, of Ocala, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia "Patsy" Feit; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" (Tim) Feit-Collins of Dix Hills, N.Y.; granddaughter, Kelsey Collins; grandson, Shane Collins; brothers-in-law, Charles Denman (Nancy) Dawson of Boaz, Ala., Douglas Dawson of Rainbow City, Ala., and Bob Wolfe, of Tionesta, Pa.; nieces and nephews, Suzy (Lannie) Lehman, Lonnie (Rita) Wolfe, Jeff (Kim) Wolfe, Larry Wolfe, Tim (Kathy) Blum, all of Tionesta, Pa., Harry and Johnny Andrako, of Meadville, Pa.; great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Collins, Shane Collins, Nick Greenhaw, Carl Cooper, Bobby Crosby, Rodney Cochran, Albert Woods, Bruce Hill, Shawn Hill and the Kings Men Sunday School class
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff of Amedisys Hospice, Rainbow City, for their compassionate loving care and support during the past three years - especially Valerie Nunn RN, Kendra Johnson RN, May Smith CNA, Hope Whittaker LGSW and the Rev. David Jones, Chaplain, Dr. Jarred Warren, Dr. Jason Junkins and Dr. John Raines, Kirklin Clinic, Birmingham, Ala., Dr. Robert M. Conry and Jolon Greer RN for their 10 years of excellent care.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
